Opening this week: Crime and Punishment. Dostoyevsky’s classic novel is reborn in this one-act, 90-minute adaptation featuring just three performers. Adapted by Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus, the play explores the nature of evil as a murderer relives and explores—through the urging of a detective and a young prostitute—the thoughts, ideas, and feelings that drove him to his horrible crime. Round House Theatre, Bethesda. Runs April 4-29.
This sounds like a wonderful and interesting play... I wish I could see it but I don't live in the DC area anymore.
