The fifth and last book nominated for the LBC's autumn Read This! selection, Nadeem Aslam's Maps for Lost Lovers, is the hot topic of conversation over at the LBC the week. Max and Sam kick off the discussion in style. You're not going to want to miss this one.
- Fulmerica Radio heats up its Rock-tober playlist with guest DJ Scott Poulson-Bryant. SPB is the author of the newly released book, Hung : A Meditation on the Measure of Black Men in America. (Is this book about what you think it's about? Absolutely!) Founding editor of Vibe and a contributor to Spin, Poulson-Bryant provides an eclectic Rhapsody playlist for Fulmerica fans.
- If you're in still in a download mood, check out the latest Bat Segundo show featuring an interview with T.C. Boyle. Condition of Mr. Segundo? Don't ask...
- And finally, what would happen if you dragged a suggestion box around the streets of New York? Probably something like this. Suggestion may be one of the more enjoyable gift books we've seen this season —though we're still waiting for our copy of The Stewardess is Flying the Plane. And who knows, we may even be able to get those wacky Suggestion folks to stop by and offer a few suggestions of their own. Stay tuned...
I've heard good things about that Stewardess book as well, but have yet to see a copy myself!

I am working on the publicity for THE STEWARDESS IS FLYING THE PLANE! American Films of the 1970s.
I would be happy to send copies to anyone who is interested in reviewing this book, or speaking with Ron Hogan.
