Fall for the Book—Day 2
Last night it was Chimamanda Adichie, Deborah Tannen, and Francine Prose (for the record Prose says writing a book on writing has not changed her writing style). Tonight Pulitzer-winning poet Claudia Emerson, memoirist *Jeannette Walls and short story writer Deborah Eisenberg are on tap at Fall for the Book. The amazing line up of writers continues through next Wednesday. Click here for the complete schedule.
*Jeanette Walls interview in Style Magazine here.

Francine Prose's new book, Reading Like a Writer, is glorious. Really, a treat.

Catherine, you should have come to the reading! Prose gave a great talk on how she put the book together--broken into small sections: "words," "sentences" etc.--and why we need a book on reading like a writer, including the bibliography of the 100 books you must read right away, which was added later.
